Constitution Story in a Story - 250th!

Celebrate our 250th and teach the U.S. Constitution through storytelling + visual art with this engaging “Story in a Story” lesson! Students explore big constitutional ideas, then create a layered narrative that includes a story embedded inside another story—supported by collage pages, an abbreviated Constitution, Constitution Facts, illustrated lesson plan steps, altered book guidance, a watercolor tutorial, and a mini-look at the Declaration of Independence that highlights how challenging it is to fit the entire document onto one page.  This lesson is for all ages and is scaffolded.
