Kids' Search For Meaning - Our co-authored book celebrates the life and work of Viktor Frankl who was a psychiatrist and also a survivor of the Holocaust. Frankl discovered how to live a life of meaning after enduring such a horrible experience. His book, Man's Search for Meaning, is a classic. Our book is a dedication to Frankl and an opportunity to share his message with younger readers. Our combined training in Counseling and Neurodevelopment led us to believe that we were the right people to write it. We wrote, edited, and edited again! Then, we checked the text for the right tone and delicacy for our younger readers. Next, we shared the book with numerous educational experts to get their opinion. Some great ideas came forth that really made the book shine. We included relevant information in the book about discussing the Holocaust with children. We even included a treasure hunt for students to find out more about Frankl's story through the illustrations.

Gladly, we have found Our book has found an audience of readers from age 8 to 108!Andrea and I work together presenting workshops, in-service training and conferences about the Dove book. To that end, we developed therapeutic art and counseling activities to accompany our presentations. Depending on the setting, the presentations range from a survey of Frank's life to a deep dive into the time and causes. Activities range from a book share and make & take art to an entire unit on self- regulation mobiles or sculptures. Each presentation is carefully planned to suit the needs of the audience.
